I am an award-winning Motion Designer and Creative Director with over 15 years of experience in visual language, brand identity, and storytelling through motion.
My work sits at the intersection of design, animation, and marketing, creating high-impact campaigns that connect with audiences. I’ve led creative teams at Twitch and Noice, shaping brand identities, building scalable marketing tools, and developing strategies that empower creators and communities.
Motion is at the core of how I think and create, and I’m always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of design, engagement, and storytelling.
Chris Sellars-Meadmore
Creative Lead | Noice Streaming
March 2024 - Present
My role at Noice has allowed me to blend my 15+ years of creative experience to help shape not just Noice’s platform, but also our Creator programs. I’ve worked closely with the team to establish our brand identity, craft marketing strategies, and design creator-focused programs that drive engagement and support our mission.
During my time at Noice I’ve spearheaded innovative brand marketing campaigns that have expanded our reach and deepened our connection with the community. By introducing new, scalable marketing channels and tools, I’ve empowered Creators and community members to amplify Noice’s vision, blending creative storytelling with high-impact results.
My approach has enabled us to leverage user-generated content effectively, while implementing streamlined systems for consistent and engaging brand experiences across campaigns. This fusion of creative strategy and scalability has been essential in shaping Noice’s presence in a competitive market.
Creative Director EMEA | Twitch
September 2023 - March 2024
In 2023 I became the Creative Director for Twitch EMEA.
My role encompasses the full spectrum of creative output from concept and pitch through to go-to-market plans, strategy and production.
As a small team I am extremely hands on during the creative process, often storyboarding and developing key visuals to better shape the visual identity and ensure our brand language is visible throughout.
I work closely with the leadership team across the region and globally, developing briefs and creative strategies that adhere and support our global goals and objectives as well as overseeing creative budgets and managing resource.
Design Director EMEA | Twitch
January 2021 - September 2023
In 2021 I joined Twitch as Design Director and Motion Lead for Europe.
I oversaw all design output across the EU and UK and assisted in the development of GTM strategies, implementation of campaign creative and production to ensure our output maintained the highest standards and met the expectations of senior stakeholders.
Whilst my role was a Director position I was also extremely hands-on, working with both in-house designers and external agencies to develop and implement design systems, on-platform ads, social activations and out of home executions across every campaign.
Visiting Practitioner
London College of Communication, UAL
Since 2022 I have been a visiting practitioner at the London College of Communication in central London, lecturing to post-grad design students about Motion Design.
For my first visiting lecture I gave a brief summary of the history of Motion, it’s development over the past 50 years and my own interpretation of its nuance, principles and language.
I have since been invited back to teach more practical lessons and develop a short course as an introduction to animation and design, leading students through the 12 principles of motion to produce a portfolio of work at the end of the course.
These lectures are of immense value to my personal and professional growth and have allowed me to step outside my comfort zone and develop a new skill-set I otherwise would have not pursued.
Motion Director | Freelance
September 2009 - January 2021
For over a decade I worked as a freelance motion designer and director, collaborating with some of the top agencies in London and working with some of the biggest brands in the world. By the time I stopped freelancing I had built myself a niche within the industry as a specialist in Theory and Principles and had completed several big rebrands as a director, developing motion language for brands like Nike, Amazon, Pluto TV, DAZN, Premier League, Farfetch and more.
With each project I gained a better understanding of the importance motion played within user interaction and engagement and consider myself extremely fortunate to have started my career at a time when motion design exploded as a new form of design.
Freelance also allowed me to pursue several other avenues within design, the main being automation of which I am a strong advocate.
